The town of Placentia has implemented a mandatory ban on the use of water in the town due to “critically low water levels” in the town’s fresh water sources.
The town says restrictions will remain in place until further notice.
Residents can still use water for drinking, cooking, bathing, laundry and dishwashing as well as the watering of vegetable gardens.
Flowers in pots or beds can also be watered with the minimal amount possible.
However, the washing of vehicles, driveways, decks and sidewalks and buildings is strictly prohibited.
Residents are also restricted from filling or topping up swimming pools, hot tubs or decorative fountains.
