Initial indications are that a sudden death in Happy Valley-Goose Bay was not suspicious.

RCMP say the preliminary report from the Chief Medical Examiner indicates that the cause of death is not suspicious.

Police did investigate an altercation earlier involving the deceased man, however his injuries were considered minor, and are not believed to be a contributing factor to his death.

RCMP are asking residents to refrain from spreading speculation and rumours online related to the incident.
