Police are looking for help in getting to the bottom of a fire in Stephenville which damaged not only the vehicle outside but the exterior of the car dealership.
The Stephenville Fire Department extinguished the blaze, which broke out late Thursday night, but not before it extensively damaged the vehicle and the dealership, which is located on Prince Rupert Drive.
Bay St. George RCMP say witnesses reported seeing a small dirt bike leaving the area via West Street. Officers hope to speak with the operator of the bike to see if they have any information.
They’re also asking for witnesses and those with surveillance and dash cam footage from the area of Prince Rupert Drive, West Street and Kippens Road between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. to contact them at 709-634-2118 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
