A woman who was found unconscious in a parked car has been charged after refusing to provide a breath sample for police.
RCMP in Grand Falls-Windsor were contacted last Friday morning by local paramedics who were alerted by a concerned citizen who noticed the woman passed out in a car in the parking lot of a restaurant on Cromer Avenue.
Officers requested a breath sample from the woman inside, but the 41-year-old refused. She also refused to get out of the car when instructed by police to do so.
She’s now charged with refusal, and resisting or obstructing a police officer.
Her vehicle was seized and her licence was suspended.
She’s scheduled to appear in court in October.
