The latest collision at Mundy Pond Road and Columbus Drive has renewed discussion on having the city add a left turning signal at the intersection.
One person was sent to hospital following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon. One SUV was left on its side on Mundy Pond Road, while the other vehicle came to rest next to a home, causing damage to the structure.
Area residents and commuters have been asking for a left turning signal at the intersection for years.
Ward 3 Councillor Greg Noseworthy and council lead on transportation Kate Cadigan are exploring traffic solutions at the site with city staff.
Noseworthy admits, it may be some time before a concrete solution is found, but they are discussing the possibility of left turning signals, and traffic upgrades in the area.
