Council has decided to defer a final decision on a proposal to develop a recreation facility in the former Previously Loved Clothes and Things building on Kenmount Road in hopes a solution can be found for parking concerns at the site.
The city had recommended that council reject a discretionary use application due to insufficient parking.
Council agreed to defer a final decision for two weeks to explore the possibility that extra parking be developed behind the building.

Most councillors, including Nikita Ryall agreed that the proposal would be great for families in the winter, if a parking solution can be found.
“I’m really hoping that….a solution can be found for parking…it should be an easy fix hopefully.”
