The CeeBee Stars say the entire hockey community in Conception Bay North is saddened by the recent passing of Joe Hunt.
Hunt, a former defenceman with the CeeBees, was on the Herder Memorial Trophy winning team in 1967, and was a member of several teams from Harbour Grace that won championships in the CBN League in the 1970s.
Hunt also served as a minor hockey coach, leading teams to serval provincial championships.
