Placentia-Whitbourne RCMP are investigating two bold break-ins and thefts in the Argentia area over the summer.
The first dates to the early morning hours of July 10th when a suspect was captured on surveillance cameras getting into a commercial property near the Port of Argentia.
A loader was stolen from the site and the doors and windows of the business were damaged. The loader had been used to break down the gates at the port.
The equipment was later recovered near Jerseyside.
Meanwhile, someone gained entry into a number of businesses in the Argentia area late on the evening of August 6th. A mini-bus was stolen and later recovered, heavily damaged, near Freshwater.
Police believe the same suspect is connected to both crimes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Placentia-Whitbourne RCMP at 709-227-2000 or Crime Stoppers.
