Three local teachers have been recognized with the Prime Minister’s Awards for Teaching Excellence, considered one of the country’s most prestigious honours in education.
The awards were handed out to just 60 people this year.
Among them were Dawn Tulk of Rennie’s River Elementary, Sarah Comerford of Macdonald Drive Junior High and Jody Rideout of Waterford Valley High School who each received a Teaching Excellence Award.
Natasha Green of Roncalli Central High in Avondale was also recognized with the TE-STEM Achievement Award.
