Police converged on the Stabb Court area late Friday afternoon, blocking off roads amid unconfirmed reports of some kind of violent altercation. An ambulance was on the scene and left the area with lights flashing. There’s been no word on possible arrests or whether any injuries were suffered in the incident.

A 45-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing in Mount Pearl early Saturday morning. The woman is facing charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

One person was taken to hospital early Sunday morning following a report of a stabbing in the downtown area. There’s no word on the extent of injuries or whether any charges have been laid in connection with the incident.
