A 28-year-old man charged in connection with the joint police investigation dubbed Operation Tarantula has been sentenced to 10 years—minus about a year and a half time-served. RCMP recently issued a release on his sentencing, which occurred last week.
Dustin Etheridge was arrested in May of 2018 on a charge of conspiracy to murder Bradley John Summers.
He was convicted in court on the conspiracy charge as well as possession of a loaded firearm, trafficking in cocaine, and possession of the proceeds of crime among other charges.
In addition to the sentence, Etheridge’s DNA sample will be added to the national DNA data bank, he’ll be prohibited from owning firearms for ten years following his release and must forfeit $176,510 in cash and property—including a firearm—to the Crown.
