Another Janeway Telethon is in the books, along with almost $3-million in donations.
By the time it wrapped up last night, the annual fundraiser for the province’s only children’s hospital had brought in a whopping $2,845,000.
Lynn Sparkes, President & CEO of the Janeway Foundation says they are still working through calls for pledges today.
She says with the reduced phone bank not everyone could get through. For those who didn’t get through, they will be connecting to ensure those pledges are fulfilled.
VOCM’s Greg Smith was one of the hosts for the event, with this year’s total going toward the purchase of a new CT scan for the Janeway.
THANK YOU Newfoundland and Labrador! Reaching $2,845,187 is an incredible feat and a huge success. We did this together and we will keep going to get that CT Scan. 💛💚💙 pic.twitter.com/oA0kRRCL72
