Despite several positive tests over the last week, Newfoundland and Labrador’s numbers remain relatively low.
In this week’s COVID-19 briefing, Health Minister Dr. John Haggie says that, especially with the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend Approaching, we cannot become complacent and adds that “if you move, you mask.”
“…There is a temptation to pat ourselves on the back, and maybe relax a little,” said Haggie. “But you’ve seen what’s happened in other jurisdictions when they relaxed too much and too soon.”
There are no new cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador today, and four known cases remain active. The province’s total remains at 277.
To date, 44,738 people have been tested.
