A Paradise man with a long history of sexual assaults against young women and girls will remain behind bars for now.
60-year-old Dennis Peter Murphy moved to Paradise last summer after completing a long prison sentence. He was arrested two days later for breaking conditions of his release but made bail.
That prompted police to warn the public that he would likely strike again, which is what he’s accused of doing two weeks ago after a woman was attacked in Paradise.
This time Murphy agreed to remain in custody until a hearing later this month when he’s expected to enter a plea to the latest charges.
