The province’s health minister is responding to concerns about how quickly supplies can be restocked at pharmacies giving out flu vaccinations.
Dr. John Haggie says within the first day of flu shot clinics being open, over 14,500 appointments had been booked in the first 24 hours.

Reports of long lines at local pharmacies quickly surfaced along with the influx of appointments, with some saying their supplies have already dwindled.
Haggie says there is a just-in-time supply system in place with each of the regional health authorities whereby pharmacists can contact health officials to advise that they need restocking.
