The province is reporting one new confirmed case of COVID-19.
The travel-related case involves a man in his 50s in the Central Health region. The man has been self-isolating since returning to the province from work in Alberta, and contact tracing is underway.
The province has three active cases of COVID-19.
The Department of Health has issued a travel advisory in connection with today’s confirmed case of COVID-19.
Anyone who travelled on Air Canada Flight 7484 from Toronto to Deer Lake on Friday, October 30, should contact 811 to arrange for testing.

Meanwhile, the province’s Chief Medical Officer is backing Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer’s recommendation of using masks with three layers.
Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says the recommendation of multi-layered masks has been around for a while now, but they are revisiting it as they prepare for more people to be inside during the winter.
She isn’t suggesting that people discard what they already have, but suggests that hunting out three-tiered masks moving forward would be a good idea.
