A Gander couple is ‘Set for Life’ as the result of a stocking stuffer.
Rowena King bought Set for Life scratch tickets for some adult family members for Christmas, saving the last ticket for her partner Wilfred Doyle’s stocking.
The ticket turned out to be a grand prize winner.
The couple opted to take the lump-sum payment of $675,000 instead of $1,000 per week for 25 years.
They’ve put in an offer on their dream home in Bay Roberts which has been accepted. They also plan to buy a new vehicle and do some staycationing.
