The NDP has reiterated its commitment to maintaining a tuition freeze for post-secondary students.
A post-secondary review is underway and Memorial University President Vianne Timmons has already indicated that maintaining a tuition freeze may not be possible.

NDP Leader Alison Coffin says students shouldn’t have to start their working lives saddled with debt from student loans.
The NDP says in addition to keeping the cost for students low and progressively reduce tuition fees, they will also reinstate a full, needs-based grants program and ensure that both the College of the North Atlantic and Memorial University are “properly funded.”
