After a few tumultuous days, some good news on the COVID-19 front today.
No new active cases have been identified in the province. This comes after a cluster of cases was identified earlier this week
To date, five people are involved in that cluster. The investigation into the source is continuing.
As well, the case involving a daycare continues to be treated as a suspected case. However, no children or staff have tested positive for the virus.
As a result, the department of health is continuing its push for people to download the COVID alert app.
At the media availability yesterday, Dr. Fitzgerald stressed the importance of the app, saying that resources can easily be eaten up when extensive contact tracing has to take place.
