Some 300 health care workers are currently in self-isolation, affecting every health authority in the province.
233 health care workers are isolating in the Eastern Health region, 35 in Central Health, eight in Labrador-Grenfell Health, and 24 in Western Health.
While the number of positive cases related to health care workers is not immediately available, Health Minister John Haggie says at least one, reported earlier this week, is considered to be a lower risk to the health care system.
He says that worker was not working during the infectious period.

One hundred fifty-five Eastern Health staff are among those self-isolating as a result of the latest outbreak.
That is having some impact on the health care system, according to Health Minister John Haggie.
He’s been advised by CEO David Diamond of a potential impact on ambulatory care services, while other services are unchanged at this time.
Haggie says the situation is being continually assessed.
At least one Eastern Health employee at St. Clare’s has tested positive for the virus, leading to Unit 6 East at St. Clare’s to go into isolation.
