The Corner Brook Minor Baseball Association has suspended on-field activities for the remainder of the week after an administrator with the association tested positive for COVID-19.
The person had no contact with any player or parent but there’s a lot of testing and quarantining going on following the test result.
Jason Mosher, president of Corner Brook Minor Baseball, says they had protocols in place as part of their return-to-play program, and the infected person had no contact with any member of the public. Some members of the association—including the positive person—did get together for lunch on the weekend though.
He says they had some programming going on but they want everyone to feel safe so they’re going to stop the programming until Monday, then take it from there.
Meanwhile, the dedication of the Doug Sweetapple Field in Corner Brook scheduled for this evening has been postponed in light of the advisory from the Corner Brook Baseball Association.
