The government is making good on a promise to review salaries and eliminate bonuses for management at Nalcor Energy and its subsidiaries.
In letters dated May 31, Nalcor and Hydro’s board of directors were told to eliminate all performance-based pay policies and incentive programs for non-union employees and to suspend pay increases until further notice.
Nalcor has also been told to cut its operating budget equal to the amount of the bonuses owing for the last calendar year.
Nalcor subsidiaries include Hydro, OilCo, CFLCo, and nine other companies linked to hydroelectric assets in the province.
