A 24-year-old Lab City man has been charged with possession of child pornography following an investigation which began in February of 2020.

The RCMP-RNC Integrated Internet Child Exploitation Unit launched the investigation after police received information regarding the online transmission of child pornography.

A search warrant was executed on a home last February, and electronic equipment was seized.

Colton Head was arrested earlier this month and charged with possession of child pornography and further charges of online exploitation are anticipated. The investigation continues.

Head was released from custody on a number of conditions pending a court appearance January 18, 2022.
