Two separate house fires sent a number of people to the hospital in St. John’s.
Around 8:30 p.m. yesterday, a fire broke out at a multi-unit residence on Lime Street in St. John’s. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and quickly knocked down the fire, which extensively damaged one unit, and left four displaced. A man was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Around eight hours later, another residential fire broke out on Leslie Street. Two residents escaped after jumping from a second-storey window before emergency services arrived and extinguished the blaze. The home was extensively damage and two people were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The scenes are being held for RNC fire investigators.
