Cox & Palmer and Visual Artists Newfoundland and Labrador (VANL-CARFAC) have announced the recipient of the 2021 Cox & Palmer Pivotal Point Grant.
Ethan Murphy received the honour for his “Eternal Return” project, centered around a cabin given to the artist by his late father, highlighting the ways “positivity and resilience can emerge from grief.”
Cox & Palmer Managing Partner, Leanne O’Leary says the firm is delighted to present Murphy with the award, adding that Murphy’s work “pays tribute to the relationship between people, places and culture and Newfoundland.”
O’Leary says the grant will support the artist as he continues to pursue a career as a visual artist.
