A member of the Eastside Elementary School community in Corner Brook has tested positive for COVID-19.

Parents/guardians who are considered to be close contacts will receive further information from Public Health via School Messenger. If you had not received notification by 9 p.m. last night, then your child is not considered a close contact.

The school board is asking parents not to contact school administration with questions related to local cases or the Public Health direction. Those inquiries are best fielded by calling 811.

The school will remain open for in-class instruction, except fort those who have been advised by Public Health to self-isolate.
