A 25-year-old man is in custody and several types of weapons have been seized following a scary incident in the Goulds last week.
Last Wednesday around 11:30 a.m. police were called to Durdle Drive where a man, firearm in hand, had entered a home. He forced a woman known to him into a vehicle and drove off.
Then, around 5:30 that day, the RNC located the man driving a vehicle, with the woman in the passenger seat.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and the woman was uninjured.
The accused, who now faces a list of firearms-related charges, was held for court.
The subsequent investigation has resulted in the seizure of numerous weapons including firearms and their accessories, ammunition, cross-bows, bear spray, smoke bombs, and brass knuckles.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
