A local campaign is providing menstrual products to people who may have trouble accessing and affording them.
The Period Priority Project distributes donated menstrual products to women’s shelters, food banks, and Indigenous organizations.
Between May 16 and May 20, the project distributed a total of 400 donated products to Stella’s Circle Naomi Centre, the Iris Kirby House, First Light NL. and Bridges to Hope Food Aid Centre.
Anyone wishing to donate can contact program founder Leisha Toory by email at tooryleisha@gmail.com.
