Two of the four people arrested thus far in connection with recent gun violence and a stabbing in metro St. John’s have now made bail.
Robert Belbin and Brandon Chafe, both 20 years old, were released this morning.
They satisfied the judge that they would abide by strict conditions, with several relatives putting up money that they could lose if either breaches those conditions.
Belbin is charged with aggravated assault and robbery with violence in connection with a stabbing on George Street, while the others face weapons charges ranging from trafficking to possession and careless use of illegal guns.

(Abigail Gillingham)
A third accused, 19-year-old Abigail Gillingham, made a brief court appearance today and will try for bail again Wednesday morning.
The status of an 18-year-old male, whose name has not been released, remains unclear.
The arrests came quick on the heels of incidents last week in which the lobby of an apartment building was sprayed with bullets, and a house was shot at and firebombed.
A number of illegally-owned firearms were subsequently seized from the Brookfield Road area of the city.
The RNC also suggests more arrests are pending.
