Lieutenant-Governor Judy Foote swung the doors open to the public for a couple of hours at Goverment House Friday.
The gesture was to mark weekend celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
Friday’s two-hour open house attracted around one hundred visitors, with a mix of tourists and locals.

One gentleman acknowledged that while the luster has come off the Monarchy in recent years, the Queen still commands, and has earned, great respect.
He says it has lost a lot of popularity, adding many of the associated expenses are now being viewed as unnecessary.
The Queen’s 70 years on the throne is being celebrated throughout the Commonwealth of Nations this weekend.
Her Majesty became Queen on February 6th of 1952, at the age of only 26.
