Paving is set to soon begin on a section of highway damaged during the torrential rainfall on the southwest coast last November.
The contract, valued at $6.6-million, will see Marine Contractors Ltd. complete paving on the TCH between South Branch and Overfalls Brook.
The contract also includes brush clearing and ditching in that same area, ditching and paving of 1,300 meters of Cold Brook Road, and replacing culverts and shoulders between Blue Ponds and Beaver Pond Road.
Other work between Blue Ponds and Pinchgut Lake, and from Cape Ray to South Branch is being planned for 2023-2024.
