More than a year after the province’s Seniors’ Advocate retired, the province appointed a new candidate to the position.
Suzanne Brake announced her retirement on June 2, 2021. Susan Walsh was subsequently nominated to become the next Seniors’ Advocate last month.
Speaker of the House of Assembly, Derek Bennett says Walsh’s appointment is effective today.
Walsh began her career in the public service in 1991 as a social worker in mental health services. She most recently served as Deputy Minister in the Department of Children, Seniors, and Social Development.
