RCMP are investigating an attack this week that left a Springdale woman with serious injuries.

Police say the home invasion and assault happened between 9 and 10 a.m. Monday morning at a residence on Elm Street in the town.

They say the woman was home alone when the suspect entered the house, leaving her with multiple serious injuries.

Police have not said if the woman and suspect know each other, or if it was a random attack.

They’re appealing to neighbours or anyone else who was in the area at the time, or anyone with dash cam video, to contact them.

RCMP are also asking residents to report any suspicious activity and ensure their homes are secured or locked at all times.
