An injured hiker had to be rescued along the East Coast Trail earlier today.
Police and the Rovers responded to the Cape Spear area around 3 p.m. advising of the large-scale operation and asking the public to stay clear of the scene.
A helicopter and ATVs were also used to help find, stabilize and transfer the female hiker to hospital.
Police say she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
