The City of St. John’s is moving ahead with the next steps of a potentially significant development in the area of Kenmount Hill.

Noseguard Holdings is looking to develop a section of land in the George’s Pond Road area, a currently undeveloped area of the city. They’re looking for a mix of residential and commercial development.

City council has decided to move forward with the application. The next steps will include a land use report followed by a public meeting and feedback.

Ward councilor Jamie Korab says he is glad to see the city moving ahead with the proposal.

He notes that there are a number of issues that need to be addressed, but he wants to see where the development can go because it could be a good project for the area.
