An RNC officer has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a stabbing incident at Atlantic Place in St. John’s.
It appears as though the officer, who was responding to reports of a disturbance in the area of the food court at Atlantic Place, was injured while attempting to make an arrest.
The area was cordoned off with yellow police tape and witnesses describe blood on the floor.
According to the RNC, the suspect is in custody and is being held for court.
