A man wanted on a long list of firearm-related charges is facing additional drug and weapons charges following a lengthy foot chase through the capital city’s downtown last evening.
Police located the man around 7:15 Wednesday evening, and chased him on foot through the downtown core before he was finally arrested without incident.
A quantity of items were seized as a result of a search conducted upon his arrest including drugs, cash, and a loaded firearm.
The accused was charged with numerous drug and firearms-related charges. Those are:
· Possession for the Purpose of trafficking Cocaine
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking Oxycodone
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking Hydromorphone
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking Methylphenidate
· Careless use of a Firearm
· Breach of Firearm Regulations (Unsafe Storage)
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
· Carrying a concealed weapon
· Unauthorized Possession of a firearm
· Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
· Possession of a weapon with ammunition
· Possession of firearm with altered or defaced firearm
· Resisting or Obstructing a peace officer
