Safety is the focus on roads across the province today as students return to school.
In CBS, residents and travellers are reminded that speeds are reduced to 30 km/h in school zones, not just during school, but throughout the day from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Town of Paradise is implementing a number of measures to ensure safety in busy school zones for the start of the school year.
Mayor Dan Bobbett says staff visited a number of schools in the weeks leading up to the return to classes to ensure that safety measures and traffic calming measures are in place.
The town is implementing crossing guards at each of the four elementary schools, while crosswalk and line painting is complete and up-to-date.
Permanent speed display signs are also in place, and there is a new crosswalk beacon on St. Thomas’ Line. The new Copper Canyon Trail has also been completed to help students walking to Holy Family.
