The House of Assembly’s Management Commission has received a review of a report conducted by the Citizen’s Rep into allegations of harassment and bullying within the Chief Electoral Office.
The original report outlining the allegations and concerns came to light in the House of Assembly in May and appeared to catch the provincial government unaware.
It was discovered that Speaker Derek Bennett had the report for several months before it became public knowledge when Independent MHA Paul Lane started asking questions in the Legislature.
That prompted government to order a review of the report by former Chief Justice Derek Green.
Green’s 180-page review was submitted to the House of Assembly Management Commission yesterday.
The Commission will provide a further update once the findings and supplementary materials are reviewed and a commission meeting is set.
