An athlete from this province has a chance to earn a spot on Team Canada.
19-year-old Shilo Chislett of Kippens has been named as a finalist in the RBC Training Ground.
The training ground hosts young athletes from across the country and has them perform tests in front of Olympic talent scouts, with 30 winning a spot on Team Canada, an accelerated path to the Olympics, and funding.
Chislett is currently in her second year of varsity softball with the University of Toronto and represented Newfoundland at the 2022 Canada Games.
The 100 finalists will compete in the national final in Ottawa on October 22.
