Nearly all municipalities across the province have established their codes of conduct, as is required by provincial legislation.

The new rules came into effect last September.

The Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs, Krista Lynn Howell, says 262 municipalities now have a code of conduct in place—which amounts to 97 per cent of all communities across the province.

The department hopes to have 100 per cent compliance “in the very near future.”
