The weather right now isn’t great for a spin on the pond but that should take care of itself by the start of weekend as things begin to dry out and the fog moves off.
The rowing season on Quidi Vidi began this week with crews taking to the water for the first time since last fall.
The most recent Royal St. John’s Regatta, the first full one since pre-pandemic days, drew one of the largest crowds ever although the number of crews dropped off.
Ashley Peach, Captain of the Course and Vice-President of the committee, says last year’s experiment whereby the women could row the men’s course and the men could row the women’s, went well.
She says they’re going to go that route again this year for the men’s and women’s teams.
