Students and staff were evacuated to a nearby church after a possible threat was made against the school Friday morning.
School board officials tell VOCM News that a lockdown procedure was initiated around 10:30 a.m.
Families were notified and asked not to come to the school until the immediate area was secured by police.
RCMP then evacuated everyone from the school to the church to allow police to search the property.
Students, meanwhile, were dismissed early and sent home.
With no danger, it’s not clear if students will now be allowed back into the school to retrieve belongings for the weekend.
No details have been released regarding the specific nature of the possible threat.
