The City of St. John’s has officially announced the lineup for this year’s Music @ Concert Series.

The announcement was made at the City’s Visitor Information Centre this morning, and featured a special performance by Sherry Ryan.

Sixteen free concerts will be put off across three venues in the city, those being Bowring Park, Bannerman Park, and Harbourside Park.

Things kick off this weekend with Baraka at Bowring Park.

Events continue all throughout the summer with acts such as Colleen Power, Jim Payne and Fergus O’Byrne, Katie Baggs Band, and Rum Ragged.

The series ends on September with Rachel Cousins at Harbourside Park.

St. John’s Mayor Danny Breen says this year will be one of the best yet for the event.

He says all of the acts are “top notch quality” and people can’t go wrong with any of the shows.
