Tim Hortons is gearing up for another Camp Day.
All the proceeds from the purchase of a hot or iced coffee on July 19 will go towards sending kids to the Tim Horton’s Foundation Camps.
Last year’s Camp Day generated over $12 million, bringing the total raised since 1991 to over $236 million. To date, more than 315,000 young people have been able to participate at no cost to families.
Marlene Van De Wiel, a Tim Horton’s Franchisee in St. John’s, emphasizes the significance of programs like Camp Day, particularly for children who may lack support.
She highlights that it is not merely about camping, campfires, and camaraderie, but also about nurturing leadership skills. The programs aim to help young people realize their potential and inspire them to make a positive impact in the world.
Funds are also raised through the purchase of a Camp Day bracelet, or through donations on the Tim Hortons mobile app.
