Reporters got a tour today of the construction site of a massive structure which is nearing completion in Argentia.
Wayne Power, a member of the board of directors with the Port of Argentia, says the Concrete Gravity Structure for Cenovus/West White Rose project is like a skyscraper rising at the site.
He acknowledges that the project has seen its ups and downs over the last year or two, but it’s finally nearing fruition.
He says the gravity structure, which is one massive piece of concrete, is about 83 per cent complete. Once finished, it will tower an impressive 145 metres which is the equivalent of a seven storey building.
