It’s been years in the making, but the province’s first hospice had its officially opening this morning.
The Lionel Kelland Hospice is a community-based facility to deliver compassionate end-of-life care to patients.
Premier Andrew Furey was on hand to cut the ribbon at the new facility in Grand Falls-Windsor.
The 10-bed facility, the planning for which was launched nearly ten years ago, is not yet accepting admissions, but the referral process will be updated online accordingly.
