Health Canada is recalling a number of salad kits due to possible listeria contamination.
Recalls have been issued on Dole avocado ranch and southwest salad kits with best before dates up to February 20.
President’s Choice southwest salad kits with best before dates up to February 18 have also been pulled off store shelves.
Symptoms of listeria poisoning include vomiting, fever, severe headache, and neck stiffness.
Seniors and immunocompromised people are at a higher risk of severe illness, while pregnant women run the risk of premature birth, infection, or stillbirth.
