Energy Minister Andrew Parsons is hinting at some big news on the horizon as the result of this province’s attendance at the Prospectors and Developers Association Conference and Trade Show in Toronto.
The minister is leading a delegation of some 30 companies and 10 prospectors at the event this week.
Parsons says some deals are being struck, including an agreement involving the College of the North Atlantic.
“The college is playing a massive role in our mining industry because at the same time we’re working on development, we also have to work on becoming more efficient, increasing productivity, and then we look at the de-carbonization side,” he said.
“So they’re here and they play a large role in that.”
Parsons hints there’s more news to come, but is holding his cards close to his chest for now.
