Bay Roberts native Dawson Mercer will play for Team Canada in the IIHF World Championships in Switzerland.
The 24-year-old was added as a late entry to the tournament and is set to compete for the third time, having won silver in 2024.
Mercer scored 20 goals and recorded 22 assists with the New Jersey Devils this season.
Canada opens the tournament Friday morning against Sweden.
